Recently, a new store opened in North Scottsdale called The Scottsdale Jean Company. True to its name, it epitomizes the word "Scottsdale" in all its glory. For instance, there are huge chandeliers hanging up from the ceiling surrounded by trendy orange glass to give it a casual feel (or so I think I'm supposed to feel). Anyway, Jon has been wanting to venture inside for a few months. Today we were in the area, and we decided to check it out. Now I know a thing or two about expensive jean companies; Lucky, Paper, and True Religion are some of the ones that pop into mind. I was browsing the store and noticed prices ranging from 100-250 for a pair of jeans amongst these brands and others. One pair mind you! Well, in the corner they have a sale selection where jeans are anywhere from 25-75% off. Jon insisted I try on a pair of $199 jeans, by a company I have never heard of, that was 75% off. That takes the prices down to approx. 45 big ones. Was the denim softer than my normal jeans? Yes. Did they fit any better? No. Would I feel comfortable walking around knowing that one pair of jeans cost a small portion of my paycheck? An even bigger NO.
This week is also spring break. Woo hoo! I can't believe how quickly the year has passed. Eleven weeks left and then summer break. :) I have a few things planned, but we're not going anywhere this time around.
I have several big things/possible changes going on in my life right now. Many of you know why I would prefer telling you over the phone/through e-mail, so for now they will remain a secret here.
Hope this update suffices for now!
