How could I forget? Saturday was Jon's 24th birthday. We had a nice dinner at BJ's Brewery in Chandler, and then we went to see Howl's Moving Castle, an animation movie created in Japan. Jon owns several other movies the director has done and was really looking forward to this movie as well, which I'd say he enjoyed. It was full of fantasy and you don't dare ask too many questions because the director definitely doesn't answer them. I guess he expects you to have the faith of a child and just believe certain things could happen or characters could be so forgiving. It was a pretty good flick, overall, just not my favorite genre. However, Bewitched is coming out this weekend. Now that is one romantic comedy I can see (wait, I'm always up for romantic comedies!) We ended the night with presents and Tia's "Better than Sex" Cake recipe. It was a pretty good cake, but I sure hope something else in 38 days is even better. :)
Today we purchased both of our wedding rings. I can't wait until Jon has his on because then everyone will know he's taken! Plus, he really likes the ring so that will be fun for him. Now I think we just need to concentrate on music for the ceremony and part of the reception and creating a program.
Whoo..I thikn that's everything!

It's getting pretty official
Today Jon and I went to get our marriage license. According to the state of Arizona, now all we need are two witnesses and an officiant to say we are legally married. All in all it was pretty easy-no one was at the courhouse and after we paid our $50.00 fee and swore we are who we said we are, we received the necessary paperwork.
Fun stuff!
Fun stuff!
Summer TV Fix
Because all three of my favorite shows (Alias, Lost, and The Amazing Race) are in reruns for the summer, I am in need of something to quench my appetite! Luckily, the recent edition of TVGuide had some juicy tidbits:
Alias-rumors had it that Jennifer Garner was upset about Michael Vartan (and former ex's) behavior whenever current beau Ben Affleck visited. So, she was begging producers to get him axed from the show. Low and beyond the cliffhanger left everyone wondering "what if." However, TV Guide put my fears to rest with reports that Vartan would indeed be returning. Creator JJ Abrams says, "You will LOVE the story for next year. It's awesome." Now I only have to wait and see if they will premire the show in September or I have to wait until January.
Lost-A website was created by the masterminds behind the breakout hit, Lost. It looks like the homepage for Oceanic Air, the airline the doomed characters were on. If you link to oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htm and click on seat numbers 4,8,15,16,23 ane 42 (in that order) you are supposed to receive a monster of a preview for next season. For the life of me I can't get it to work though. I'll keep you posted if anything happens with it!

46 days and counting...
till I am a married woman. Things are continuing to come together, but as soon as I cross one thing off my "wedding to do list" one more seems to pop up. We are still awaiting word from about half of the people we invited to the wedding, so if we invited you and you haven't responded, get those little prepaid response cards back to us as soon as possible. :) No really, I guess you can take your time with it (until June 30th of course), but we are trying to get an accurate count.
This past weekend four awesome bridesmaids took a great deal of time out of their schedule to look for dresses with me. The black dresses were finally purchased and look really cute on all of them.
Jon and I moved into the new house on Friday. Well, I guess I should rephrase. Jon moved all of his stuff into our new house, and some of my non important items are here since I don't move in until after the big day (have i mentioned it is in 46 days?). We spent a lot of the weekend trying to turn boxes into cardboard again and put things away. It is slow going at times, but it is starting to come together and looks really good.
This month I don't have grad school *big cheer* but I have two classes in July so I am mentally preparing. Ugh! Only four more classes left is the mantra that I currently have to be singing to keep myself positive. Summer school is just not fun..that simple.
This weekend is Jon's birthday. He's turning so old..the big 24. We are going to (hopefully) do some fun things on Saturday and not worry about moving, the wedding, or anything like that. In fact, he would probably have a blast just seeing that new Lava Girl movie and working on his website. That's not such a bad idea, actually. :)
Hope to post more as I have time/can remember.
