Adult Life...good for a few twists and turns

Ay carumba! So much stuff going on I don't even know where to start. It seems like every weekend is so jam packed with errands to run, cleaning and maintaining a home, and catching up on much needed sleep (to name just a few things) that I feel just as exhausted when Monday rolls around as I do on Friday. Plus, adjusting to married life is like I was told...just plain hard at times. Getting used to another person's habits, nuances (and him getting used to mine) takes lots of time and energy, and this is just a drop in the bucket.

Not that I'm complaining. I wouldn't trade Jon in for the world and love the place God has brought me to right now. But sometimes life can just get hard and being an adult isn't as rosy as I once thought it always was. Here's my top 5 reasons why being an adult is hard.

5. Entertainment. No one pays for your way, and with the price of movie tickets now-a-days that would be so super sweet!
4. Bills. No longer is getting mail fun. It usually means somebody wants your money.
3. Food. You have to buy it, prepare it, and clean up after it is made. I definitely appreciate Mom so much more now!
2. Work. Work can be good, but it has its days for sure. The college lifesyle has to be one of the best going.
1. Issues. You face bigger problems and harder decisions than when you were kid. Then the toughest part of the day was deciding between eating Mac and Cheese or a Corn dog at the cafeteria.

Sigh. I remember in second grade when Monday was my favorite day of the week. So innocent. Here's to busy lifestyles!
