Why you should wait

The tried and true tradition is to go on your honeymoon immediately following your wedding. For several reasons, mostly Jon's lack of vacation time at the moment, we have decided to wait until October. However, I am now SO EXCITED we decided to wait and think all of you who are seeing someone, engaged, or otherwise (come on girls, even if you aren't with anyone you know you've thought of your *perfect* honeymoon), should wait. Here are the top 10 reasons:

10. Kortney gives good advice. 'Nuff said.

9. You can focus only on the wedding instead of packing for a honeymoon and planning a trip all at the same time.

8. You can get an early start on the tedious process of notifying everyone that your name has changed (do social security first!).

7. You can reflect and talk with family and friends about how the BIG DAY went without being wisked away and getting no feedback.

6. You are emotionally, physically, and mentally drained following your wedding. You won't feel like traveling to boot.

5. Allows you to return home, after such a crazy day, to a familiar environment in which you feel comfortable.

4. Since you won't be as tired, you can have the option to do things on your honeymoon or choose to relax instead of your body telling you: I can do nothing but sleep. Sleep is good.

3. You have a chance to open up all your gifts!

2. Gives you time to practice, um, the art of seducation (you know what I mean). :)

1. Gives you something to look forward to in a few months.

Seriously, I would highly recommend considering this course of action.

hehehe... thanks for the advice. andy and i were just talking about how we'll have to wait at least until may (or later) to go on our honeymoon and i was really bummed. thanks for giving me a better outlook. :)

ps... since I haven't told you directly... the wedding was BEAUTIFUL... and not just that, it was a great reflection of both of your personalities and your faith was really evident. hope you're having a great time being newlyweds!
